What’s the number one thing we hear from participants who take our Home Stretch classes?

“I wish I had done this sooner!”

Homebuyer education is required by lenders for many first-time homebuyers as a condition of their mortgage approval. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait until you’ve picked a realtor, or have a closing date set.

In fact, the best time to benefit from homebuyer education is at the very beginning of the process!  Before getting pre-approved, before choosing a realtor, before attending your first open house.

Even if you’ve purchased a home before, the information you learn will make you a smarter buyer and put you in control.

We offer homebuyers two different options to meet their education needs: our in-person Home Stretch course, or Framework, an online course that covers similar material. Both will position you to confidently navigate the buying process.

Home Stretch

Home Stretch is an eight-hour education course that prepares participants for the homebuying process. The classroom-style workshop is taught by expert instructors from the nonprofit, real estate, and lending industries. Home Stretch is a requirement for most homebuyer assistance programs.

Classes are typically done in one eight-hour session or two four-hour sessions, and one class is offered each month.

Registration for Home Stretch classes is handled through Eventbrite. Click here for a list of current class dates and to sign up.

For those who need greater flexibility, Framework provides an online homebuyer education course that can be completed at home or on the go – on your computer or tablet, or even your phone.

Most people finish the coursework in 4-6 hours. Click here for more information or to sign up!
