How Housing Assistance Works

Renting to a Housing Choice Voucher Program participant follows a process similar to renting to a family in the private market. You can still conduct screenings for credit, criminal, and rental history, select tenants, collect full rent, and maintain your property.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program aims to enhance housing options for low-income individuals or families by subsidizing rents for units in the private rental market. This program allows participants to rent various housing types across Washington County.

We appreciate your ongoing support and involvement in the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program. Your contribution in offering affordable housing through this initiative plays a crucial role in its success in Washington County.
